As a resident of the Surfcoast for a number of years, Bill draws on the local area for his inspiration. He has been a potter and painter and, in recent times, has ventured into wood sculpture. He reclaims local timber to create wonderful sculptural pieces, including bollard frogs, gnomes, birds and lighthouses. He also carves aged timber to form relief images. His latest works use carved wood with mounted laser cut drawings in stainless steel or mild steel with patina, evoking wonderfully whimsical themes.
