Melbourne-based Pamela has been visiting Aireys Inlet for more than 30 years. A fervour for art and photography from childhood took back seat as she pursued a career in advertising (Australia and UK) and then in artist management within the entertainment industry. Her love of both performance and visual arts, along with an ability to visualise and comprehend design, played an essential role in her working life, as they do in her artistic life.
Pamela works across a variety of mediums: pastel, graphite, ink, acrylic and printwork. Much of her art comes from the impact of light and the framework of life drawing – those creative responses to form, volume, and tonal qualities. “I don’t feel restricted by one style or one medium,” says Pamela. ”I interpret according to how I react, it’s an organic reaction.”
