Breathing Space continues Nicky’s fascination and exploration of the Australian landscape.

Nicky’s abstracted landscapes are in oil with a limited palette of colours tied to the landscape. Some works are textured, echoing the texture in the landscape, others are built up layers of colour capturing the changing light.

Nicky Perkin returned to formal art study as a mature student, graduating from Sydney College of the Arts in 2007 with Master in Visual Arts, University of Sydney.

Nicky has lived on the Surf Coast for the last 12 years, has exhibited locally and opens her studio annual for the Surf Coast Arts Trail.
