COASTAL SERIES

Impressionist local paintings by Ray Wilson

Ray Wilson will be showcasing his modern impressionist oil paintings with his “Coastal Series”.  He mostly enjoys painting from life and the use of light is paramount in assisting the viewer understand why he chose and was drawn to a scene or object. 
Ray will share with us his passion for oil as a medium and his painterly and modern impressionistic style. His key message for this exhibition is the power of observation, simplification and the capture of light in our beautiful Surfcoast.

Ray is the former manager of the Victorian Artists Society and is also both a Fellow and Signatory Member of the Society.  He has won numerous awards for his portraiture, still life and landscapes and now spends much of his time living and painting in around Aireys Inlet.
