The words on the wall are from a lovely old song, the beginning of which is ‘Any time you’re feeling lonely, any time you’re feeling blue, any time you are down hearted, that’s the time I’ll be thinking of you.’
I chose this small carving to illustrate an embrace because the people are not of any sex so can be anyone you would like to receive a hug from, especially if they bring you flowers.
All pieces are worked on baking paper which has been gessoed and textured to look like walls then adhered with archival glue to paste board to give some wrinkles, next I’ve used acrylics/pencils/crayons-mixed media. Some have additional pieces glued on i.e, the doors.
