Karen brings her love of nature and her keen eye for detail to her contemporary
sterling silver jewellery. She has successfully combined her jewellery making skills
with an earlier background in horticulture and landscape design. This combined
experience enables Karen to design and create beautifully handcrafted jewellery with
a focus on the natural world around her.

Working primarily with re-milled sterling silver and gold, Karen uses traditional hand
forging techniques along with modern processes to shape and form stunning works
of wearable art.

Her interest in all things horticultural influences her designs at times with the use of
natural objects such as seeds and seed pods which are sawn, drilled, shaped and
incorporated into items such as rings, pendants, earrings and bracelets.
Karen designs and creates each individual piece by hand in her studio in rural
Victoria, Australia – her inspiration for her sterling silver jewellery comes not only
from her surrounds but from within … sentimental moments and meanings are often
captured and made into lasting mementos of precious thoughts and feelings.
