A POINT IN TIME

Peter is a reputable Melbourne 20 artist, and this is his second major solo exhibition at the gallery. There are 44 artworks on display, all inspired by the ocean and bush along the Great Ocean Road from Anglesea through to the Otways

…..A painting unlike reality is a flat rectangle with many competing compositional issues: light, colour, shadows, rhythm and so on. A painting has an internal logic and is not a mere copy of nature. This provides endless entertainment for me.
