My paintings are responses to things seen and enjoyed.

Painting is probably one of the most immediate ways of engaging with the visual world. All that we see can be categorised as colours, shapes and tone values – an unending and ever-changing kaleidoscope. You cannot top nature, only admire it, but it is fun to make your own re-arrangements – decorative qualities are to the fore.
