Julien was introduced to creativity by his grandfather, Jean, who would take great pleasure entertaining him with his sketching skills, whilst telling him thousands of stories.

Julien moved to Australia where his art expresses the separation from home and beloved ones.  This exhibition is inspired by cherished moments and the similarities between Brittany, where the family has settled, and the Surf Coast.

Creating with the mediums of oils, gouaches, acrylics, and drawings, Julien uniquely favours wine card boxes as canvases, as it reminds the artist of Jean’s wine/deli shop and as Julien runs a restaurant with unlimited access to this medium.
