GROWING CONSERVATION
Acrylic and Charcoal illustrations by Mark Trinham
Whilst working almost exclusively on large scale Sculptural Public Art commissions for the past 27 years, I have taken on some illustrative wildlife and habitat conservation projects with the aim to educate and empower conservation within future generations.
2009-2014 Landcare Wildlife Collector Card project, 2017 Artist In Residence on Kangaroo Island SA and
2020 ‘Bush Tales’ children’s book illustrations
This small exhibition showcases some of the original illustrations from these three projects.
Most works are Acrylic paint on paper in handmade recycled timber frames. The images contain local wildlife species that still survive in their natural environment between my home on the rugged Jan Juc coast and the depths of the Otway Ranges.
