Illustrations and ceramics by Helen Gibbins

Helen lives and works in magnificent Wadawurrung country.

She creates playful, quirky narratives and characters, enjoying the freedom of a more illustrative style.
Helen received a BA Honours in Fine Art at RMIT in the 90’s and exhibited quite experimental small scale installations in Melbourne and Sydney. She has since worked in artist-run and not-for-profit galleries, and co-managed the Melbourne International Animation Festival for a decade.
With a passion for the arts and community, she is currently involved in the voluntary organisation Surf Coast Arts Inc, Anglesea Art Space and shares opportunities and artwork along Victoria’s great west coast through @ourcreativecoast on Instagram
