Abstract mixed media paintings by Jessica Watson Thorp

Watson-Thorp has consciously pushed and developed her practice along a trajectory that investigates spirituality, emotion and the human condition. By offering a space for contemplation and inviting stillness, she promotes self-enquiry, self-acceptance and ultimately tolerance of others and the vast complexity of the human experience.
Her process is loosely rooted in the monoprint technique, and she has taken to creating topographic surfaces on her canvases, while playing with translucency and opacity.
