POLLOCK – STILL PAINTING

Donna has been painting on canvas for the past 10 years.

She has exhibited at several venues within the Surf Coast Shire.
Her inaugural solo exhibition in 2019 was at the Surf Coast Art Space in Anglesea. It was a triumph, with half the exhibition selling, and local art lovers were excited by her fresh new painting approach.

Moving from more traditional applications throughout the years, Donna has become increasingly organic and intuitive – creating layers of paint using unorthodox methods/tools/techniques (chopsticks, spatulas, hands and gravity) rather than the conventional brushes etc

…..the only brush I use is the one to sign my finished artwork…….

Being an incredibly sensitive artist, who’s intuitive style is governed heavily by her personal emotions and experiences, Donna found the initial COVID19 lockdown incredibly stifling to her creativity and stopped painting for a couple of months.
She found this very difficult to deal with but thankfully, once her exhibition was re-confirmed, and an August 1st deadline was dangled in front of her, she hasn’t been able to stop!
