TREAD LIGHTLY

watercolours, drypoint etchings and more by Sally Miller

This collection of work is inspired by time I’ve spent bushwalking through Cape Otway National Park and discovering the orchids and flora found there.

The random nature and untidiness of the Australian bush is unique, and I am in awe of the tiny hidden treasures that can be found when you take the time to look at the ground cover.

I cherish these wonders and draw attention to their fragility, and the threats posed to them by: development, competition with weeds, feral animals, changing climate and a lack of pollinators.

I encourage you to go placidly and to seek out these tiny wonders…….tread lightly x
