SALLY MATTNER

Making art is essential for me.

As local artist living and exhibiting in Geelong, Sally has been involved in art making and art education for 30 years.
Currently working in oils, Sally also has experience in acrylics, mixed media, watercolour with particular focus on landscape painting over the last 5 years.

As I explore my interaction with the landscape, I endeavour to capture the ways in which it speaks to me.
I aim to visually represent this connection as I reinterpret reality with with mood, character and personal expression.
I hope to take you, the viewer, into the scene to experience these things.

The landscape listens, welcomes, reaches out, shares and connects.
The titles of the artworks are carefully chosen to personify the scene.
