This evolved from a conversation with a friend who is also a farmer. He was speaking with me on his mobile from one of his paddocks. It was a cold Winter night and he and his daughter were checking the sheep who were lambing. Coming up through the paddock he was describing his daughter carrying an orphaned lamb.
