White Footed Dunnart – Sminthopsis leucopus Status – Vulnerable
The sun disappears over the horizon and a tiny pair of black, marble like eyes peeps out of a tree hollow. Is it a mouse? The cat thought it was. No it’s too fat for a mouse; she has a pouch full of young. In a week or so the joeys will hop off, independent of their mother, she will only live for another week, her job being done. Leave it alone pussycat, the rabbits are tastier I’m sure.
This original artwork is created on a wire frame, covered with a mix of fabric scraps.
Size: 18cm x 8cm x 5cm
