Mixed media negative art – ink patterns and white, loose line pen work. Negative painting is a technique where you do the opposite of normal painting. Instead of painting a shape, you paint the area around a shape. The surface is yupo paper, approximately 56 x 76cm. This piece depicts an impression of gum leaves on a forest floor, in muted blues, greens, browns and highlights of gold. The leaves have been outlined in white pen. It’s an original art work – no digital enhancements or brushes used.
